They apologized and told me the owner of the shop was not pleased as to how the bumper fit with the nose of the car, so he decided to do a little more bodywork, realign the parts and re-prep everything.
Being a perfectionist myself, I actually appreciate his attention to detail and desire to ensure I am 100% satisfied with the results, which—unfortunately—is quickly becoming a thing of the past in every industry and service.
They still have a little tweaking to do, but I am sure that bumper cover has never fit my car as well as it does now, and I am willing to wait a few extra days for top-shelf quality.
