A few Ocala C3 Corvette Owners Group members brought their Vettes to the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida, Saturday, July 15, 2023, for a benefit car show.
The World Equestrian Center is a fantastic place that has to be experienced, so if you're ever in the North Central Florida area, you have to visit, especially if they are having a car even of some sort.
I am guesstimating that there were well over 120 vehicles at the show, and even though the event took place during summer, having an air-conditioned building made all the difference in the world.
This is my 1976 Corvette Stingray next to a 1980 Vette, a 1971 Coupe, and a 1973 Roadster you can hardly see in the photograph. However, I posted a short video of the cars to my YouTube channel.
Classic cars always attract an audience, and it's always fun to talk to people who have an interest in them. Everyone seems to be familiar with C3 Corvettes.
Here you see some of the even participants as they enter Expo Building #2 to display their vehicles. This was a very well-organized event.
I removed the driver's side T-top so spectators could have a better view of the interior of my Vette while showing the fact that they are removable.
Unfortunately, a few of us had to leave early since the car show became a concert venue at around noon with music loud enough for an open stadium. It was a real shame since the singers were great but the volume was completely inappropriate for an enclosed building.
Several people tried to voice that sentiment as we yelled at each other while trying to communicate, and in the end, we had to leave. That was the only negative part of an otherwise fantastic car show.
The long-form video including most of the cars at the show is available on the 30-Second Car Show youtube channel.
I hope you'll enjoy it.
